I defaulted on credit cards. I simply just cannot pay them anymore. Outside of $60ish between Internet and Prime Video, I have around $150/mo after paying mortgage, taxes, insurance and utilities to live on.

I have not been in contact with the lenders since I quit paying. The balances have been charged off and accounts are closed. I’m at the point where the lenders are sending letters threatening lawsuits. I receive a tiny amount of money through a state retirement/disability plan. I don’t think they can garnish it since it’s for me being disabled.

Should I try to plead my case in hopes of not getting sued? Or, should I remain silent? I see no real use in filing bankruptcy.
