Oregon, 27, and all tax years are filed aside from 2024 which I was advised to wait to file until April. I will keep it as brief as possible. 2019-2022 was spent miserably depressed to the point I did not have any intentions to make it as far along as I have, unfortunately during those tax periods those years were NOT filed up until 2023 when I did them altogether to prevent anymore time being stacked onto them. Roughly altogether, I owe 58k, I know that all previous payment plans and OIC’s were previously denied due to the amount of debt owed (this was told to me by an IRS agent) so I paid down $3,000 and likely would be able to develop a payment plan now that the amount is a bit lower but I am unsure if I can realistically afford the amount that would need to be paid monthly to clear my slate. I have been reading up on Chapter 7/Chapter 13 bankruptcy and honestly have no idea if the amount that I currently owe is considered large enough to make such a major decision in my life. I know most of us have debt and struggle with finances, but I truly worry that if I wait any longer to either file chapter 7 or 13, that it will continue to build interest and take even longer to pay off than it originally already would. Has anyone filed either chapter with solely IRS debt? I have close to no credit cards or any other debt, I do not have a vehicle or own a home.
