I just want to give a big thank you to everyone in this community.
As of the end of January 2026, my chapter 7 bankruptcy has been discharged in case has been closed/terminated.
Poor financial decisions in 2024 made 2025 become one of the hardest years of my entire life.
The thought of actually going through with this was extremely terrifying, but because of this community and all the help I was able to feel confident, and with the guidance of my amazing bankruptcy attorney I was able to have a smooth bankruptcy process.
I’m so grateful to have been discharged and allowed this fresh start.
I can save money, work on getting my credit up and staffing over and doing things correctly.
I really feel ashamed that I even put myself to this point to have to do such a thing, but now that it is done I feel that I’ve learned a lot about what should be doing to further my own life.
This is really the one and only post I will leave here, so I really just want this to be thank you to all of you guys. For making this a place that doesn’t just shit on you because you have to do such a serious thing.
Shit happens in life. I can take this as a blessing to be allowed a reset and become better, or just shit my life away again and drag my world down more.
I’ll take this as my blessing.
