Finally got my discharge order to my email on Monday. Had a no asset/no distribution case but decided to get a lawyer because I knew I barely pass the means test and didn’t want to deal with all the stress of filing by myself. My lawyer has me on a payment plan which I see isn’t the norm on this sub that you can file a Chapter 7 without paying in full first. It’s honestly a huge weight I feel lifted off of me. I mostly had credit card debt from when I was unemployed for a few months and a car loan with Exeter that I didn’t reaffirm. Most people said it takes them a while to come get the car but mine was gone Friday morning and the loan was current before I filed 😬. After filing you can still get approved for things, you just can’t be as picky about what you get for the first couple of months. It doesn’t bother me because I was getting denied beforehand because of my high Debt-to-income ratio. Anyone that’s hesitant should go ahead and just file, I wish I did sooner.
EDIT: And just for context filed 12/05, 341 01/08, and discharge 03/16
