I’m in VA and hired a local bankruptcy attorney to handle my case. On Dec 22, I paid a $100 retainer and later paid the $673 filing fee. All my docs were uploaded to JubileePRO by the deadline. They gave me a firm filing date of Jan 16, 2026.
It’s now Jan 25, and they still haven’t filed. My wages are currently being garnished, and the firm just keeps saying they’re “backed up.” They won’t give me a new date. I’m out $773 and losing more money every payday. What are my options to force their hand or get this filed ASAP?
