I never imagined I would ever end up in this situation but here we are. After years of trying to keep my head above water and immense stress and pressure about the idea of even doing this, I am filing Chapter 7. I had 2 consultations and the lawyer I met with today was amazing. They gave me a checklist of the information they needed and I was overly prepared. He answered every question I had and thoroughly explained everything to me as well as assuring me that things will be fine. I cut the check out, completed my credit course this afternoon, and we are set to file next week. I cannot explain the feeling of immediate relief and peace of mind that this has given me. I guess what I could say is that I agree with everyone on here that has said that the only regret I have is not doing this sooner. We live and we learn and life goes on! Filing bankruptcy is not the end of the world!
