Hello!

I became disabled and then got screwed by a business partner and yada yada yada I’m 50k in the hole with my credit cards. I stopped paying a year ago and they finally served me a summons to appear in arbitration via zoom.

I’m planning on filing chapter 7 bankruptcy (it took a long time to get around to it due to insane depression) but the court dates are very soon and will happen before I file.

I have no assets. No property, no car, no expensive items, no job (can’t work), no money in the bank account, no nothing.

Do I have anything to worry about in the arbitration? Would they just rule in favor of the credit card company and then when I file bankruptcy I can get rid of that debt? Or can they impose any kind of debt that chapter 7 won’t remove?

Edit: I’m in Illinois
