Hello, I am a 27 year old female who’s decided and been advised to just go bankrupt. I had a severe medical issue that lasted two years where I could not work that left me with $19,000 in credit card debt & about $20,000 in medical bills. My car got totaled in a five car accident and I need somewhere to stay I just need a fresh start. Anyways, I landed a temporary job where I’ll be making $17 an hour until I can get something else. My question would be do I need to get a place and a car before filing or should I wait? I have a couch I can sleep on for a few months if need be, but from my research it seems like it’s gonna be difficult to get a place or a car after going bankrupt. Any advice ?
