I had my 341 meeting for a chapter 13, and according to my documents, I was supposed to meet with a woman. However, a male trustee conducted the meeting instead. Is that normal? Do trustees sometimes have assistants or other representatives conduct these meetings on their behalf?
My meeting felt very rushed. I was in and out in less than five minutes! I guess I was expecting something different based on what I had read here, like getting to listen to other cases and hearing more questions.
None of my creditors showed up either. I was only asked four questions: whether my name and address were correct, whether I had read the form, and whether I was the person who signed it. That was it! Two minutes waiting for the meeting to start and three minutes answering questions.
I guess my case wasn’t nearly as complicated as I had made it out to be in my head. I really can be my own worst enemy sometimes, especially when I start overthinking and imagining every possible worst-case scenario!
My only pet peeve about the whole thing is that now I have to pay a bit more than I was expecting to pay, and since I already had made the first payment, the trustee requested to pay the difference as soon as possible, which I did today.
Edit, to add the final sentence.
