***I AM NOT ASKING FOR RELATIONSHIP ADVICE OR TO BE TOLD I WILL BE IN A POOR POSITION IF IT DOESNT WORK OUT WITH MY FIANCE.***
I’m considering declaring Chapter 7, I’ve talked to a couple lawyers. I’m still just not sure if I want to go through with it. I don’t plan on buying a house anytime soon, or financing anything. My fiance owns a house and I have a car which I plan on continuing to pay. (Lawyer says it’s possible) My fiance and I got pregnant unexpectedly, and currently we are not in a place where we can pay down my debt (close to 20k) because he also has a fair amount of debt as well, and both of us would rather focus on his because if we do need to finance anything it will be through him. I will also have to, and want to, be a stay at home mom because daycare is not in our budget. which is another reason I am strongly considering this, because it does not look like I will be going back to the workforce anytime soon. For people who have chosen bankruptcy who are in similar situations as me, are you happy you did or do you regret it? Anything tips or tricks/anything you wish you knew before hand would be greatly appreciated!
