I’m super worried because I was laid off in March and decided to file for bankruptcy because it’s really hard to get a job in my field right now. Layoffs left and right. I’m trying to keep my house and car .The only thing is my income was too high so attorney said to wait 2 months and stop paying on credit cards. Now I was told to wait until August cuz I don’t pass the means test. I’m on unemployment that’s going to end in September. I’ve been applying for jobs and no luck. I’m now concerned with how long it may take me to qualify for chapter 7 and how long the process takes to actually file and be completed. I hope I can get a job soon. It’s so tough in the job market right now. The cost of living is awful. Any advice. Have any of you had this experience with trying to pass the means test. Thanks
