I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy May 30, 2025. I had my 341 hearing in July 2025 and received a letter in the mail stating that my bankruptcy was discharged in October 2025. Everything went fine. I paid all court/attorney fees that were presented to me at the time. It is now July 2026, and, 9 months after my bankruptcy was discharged, I received a letter in the mail today from a law firm in a completely different state that represents my bankruptcy trustee stating they’ve decided to charge me more court fees totaling $4,969. Is this normal? Why am I getting this letter?
