…it went swell and well for my Chapter 7 case.
My hearing went very quick, less than five minutes.
It was very basic “yes or no” questions. Fortunately no “going off-script” or curveball questions.
The biggest thing was the waiting as I had several people ahead of me, which I used to my advantage; it was about half-hour until my case was called. Several times over I was able to hear the questions and able to prepare myself, and get a good idea what will be asked, along with gaging “the mood and personality,” so to speak, of the trustee.
The trustee for the Central District of California seemed, quite frankly, of an attitude of, “let’s just get this over with,” which I am not complaining.
Still feeling a bit of a “high” with a mixture of odd anxiety and relief.
The waiting and anticipation was the hardest part.
A lot of people here helped me prepare and calm my nerves.
As Tom Petty sang, “The waiting is the hardest part.”
