Spoke with two attorney’s in my town this week that handle chapter 7 and 13.

The first one states I qualify for chapter 7 alone, but because I live with my fiancé I don’t qualify. She basically told me she would only file chapter 13 for me.

The second said she had no problem moving forward with chapter 7 and not including my fiancés income since we aren’t married yet and don’t have any shared accounts, etc. she said as long as I file alone before we get married, I’ll be fine.

I don’t understand how one says chapter 7 is fine while the other is totally against it. I’d much rather file chapter 7, but worried it will become a problem later not including my fiancés info.

Would love any personal opinions or experiences with this!
