Not sure how it works in other states but my experince with chapter 13 has been nothing but amazing. all in all including our house my wife and I are almost a million dollars in debt. We filed for chapter 13 included our two cars and all our unsecured debt. Our house and a helco loan also out student loans were not included. all in all we had around 215k to pay off. Our plan pays off our cars and 4% of the unsecured debt. Payment monthly is 1700. I am the sole earner and make 200k per year. we had one meeting and were confirmed a few weeks after no push back. if you are scared about filing just do it its not as bad as people make it out to be.
