Filed chapter 7 with lawyer – May 12th
341 meeting- June 24th
Discharge- September 4th
Just got my discharge letter in the mail today! Had about 70K in different credit cards. Had stopped paying them for a year. Chase and capital one had begun lawsuits and thats when I decided to file. I used metlife legal insurance provided by my employer to hire my lawyer so I didn’t pay anything other than the court filing fees. I was able to keep my car that still had 12K loan left. My credit score had plummeted from 800 to 470 in a year from stopping all CC payments. As soon as I filed, my score shot up 200 points. Im currently at a 715 score and will continue working on bringing it up. Oddly enough my klarna and afterpay never stopped working. Im still able to get pay in 4 plans. If you’ve been contemplating to file, DO IT. So much relief.
