My husband and I filed a Ch. 13 in February. We had our 341 meeting last month. Everything seemed to go well. We were told that our payment would be $1700 a month and good luck. Although tight, we came up with a budget and have been maintaining. The confirmation meeting was the first week of May which was cancelled because all of our claims weren’t in yet. My lawyer called me and told me that she received all of the claims, but that our payment increased by $100. She also mentioned that my secured car loan company didn’t file a claim at all and now she has to find them. I’m confused because I thought if they don’t file a claim, that’s it. This loan is about $16k, so I am trying to understand why our payments increased if one of the larger creditors didn’t file a claim. We are in FL.
