I posted previously; my 341 meeting was last week. The Trustee began with simple yes and no questions and then ended the last few moments of our zoom meeting asking me if I had a gambling problem and questioning some stock that I sold previously to pay off debts. I understand this is the role and due diligence of the Trustee, but she was very short with me and somewhat flippant. She asked my attorney to send her another one of my tax filings from a previous year that I had submitted to my attorney but for some reason he had not sent it to her yet. She abruptly ended the zoom meeting, saying that she was done with her questions “for now” and then she ended the zoom call. Absolutely no warm fuzzies or even common courteous conversation.

I was anxious that this situation was foreshadowing that the Chapter 7 was going to have problems and this was going to be a big issue because of my gambling problem that I am in treatment for currently. By the way, as a point of reference I had not used my charge cards for several months prior to filing.

Just want to update that when I spoke with my attorney by phone today, he said that the Trustee had no further questions and has indicated that it is no-asset case and discharge would be coming in proper time.

Just wanted to update that all my worry was for naught, and that being honest is always the best policy. I was honest from the start and was worrying needlessly. Just wanted to update for others who may be in my situation — just be honest.
