YAAAAYYYY! Been lurking a longtime made a few post deleted them, commented on a few deleted etc.
I am so proud to say that I had my 341 today to discharge 285k of unsecured debt. And at the end of my meeting the trustee said ok thank you, I am putting you in for no asset no distribution. In that moment my soul returned to my body and I feel a sense of peace that I have not felt since my wedding day.
Backstory: I was unemployed for all of 2025, I day traded to survive with savings. In Nov I lost ALOT because of bills and the stocks dropping 10-20% from their highs. Ended up needing to take out loans to survive. Got a new Job in December. And started playing the market again (dips are always bought right) Used consolidation loans to minimize payments and reduce debt and then used left overs to buy SHARES with margin also and then sold covered calls to try and generate passive income! Stocks dropped from Dec to Mar another 30-40% because of BS. Got margin called. Lost most of it. Was drowning. Decided to file. Filed chapter 7 after researching and because my debt was not due to fraud I am eligible. I am telling you this because I was so worried about all the details that I would be denied.

Expected discharge according to lawyer is Aug 10th (our original 341 got delayed due to trustee scheduling)
Lawyer said its unlikely that a creditor will object at this point.
For those on the edge: No matter how hard or weird your situation is, dont lose hope. My biggest piece of advice is consult multiple lawyers and pick a really good type A one. My lawyer was amazing (Texas)! And alot of the cases on the call that had extra questions or issues were due to “unprepared” individuals.
