Long (very very long) story short. Been in the bankruptcy process since November 2025. First went for chapter 7 pro-se but didn’t pass means test then had to get an attorney for Chapter 13. Had 3 341 meetings, finally got a 100% payment of 2390 and trustee put a condition of having to make 6 on time
Payments before confirmation or she’ll ask to have it dismissed. 5 on time payments in and the IRS said I owe more than what was put down ($9000) more to be exact. Attorney has reached out 3x to the irs handler of the account and has cc’d me on every email with no reply back.
Now trustee wants to have my case dismissed. Attorney amended a few things but we have no proof from the irs on the rest of the tax bill they claim (I submitted all my tax paperwork as I was on a payment plan for a tax bill prior to filing).
Attorney is on planned vacation for 2 weeks (the same week of the court date to dismiss). My attorney has been amazing by the way.
If by chance it gets dismissed, what happens to all my payments? I probably could pay off at least 3 creditors if I was returned the money, but I’m curious as to if anyone has dealt with anything like this
