My chapter 7 was discharged in August of this year. Chime was not part of the bankruptcy in that I have never owed them money, I got my payroll deposited there. This weekend Chime just closed my account without warning, over 4 months after discharge. All money in the account has been received post discharge. Support is stating it’s due to my bankruptcy filing and will send a check within 30 days.
To make matters worse, I currently live out of the country so now I have to get the check, and find a new online bank that will accept a $20,000 check deposit. I may need to fly back to the states to figure it out but can’t buy tickets until I get access to my money.
I thought we were out of the woods but now Chime took all our money right after payday and right before Christmas
Would love any bank recommendations. Stay clear from Chime
