Had 50k in credit card debt(capital one, chase, citi, discover). All the big banks. Bad spending habits and being generally irresponsible in all facets of life. Finances included.
I make 40k a year and had over $1000 a month in minimum payments at the end of it. I was working to make just enough money to pay my credit card bills. Couldn’t focus on anything except for my terrible finances. I knew it was unsustainable and waited way too long to pull the trigger. I was never gonna be able to pay it back unless I hit the lottery. Life wasn’t enjoyable because that was always in the back of my mind.
I filed a month ago with an attorney (he cost $1700). Had my 341 today and the trustee just asked yes and no questions and said that was it. I was nervous but there was no reason to be because I knew I was being honest. If you are honest with your paperwork then there is no reason to be nervous! Now waiting 60 days to get final discharge.
