3rd time in 20ish years. Before people jump down my throat, I have a major mental illness that makes it extremely difficult to handle my finances & I’ve tried everything out there from Dave Ramsey to cash only. When my illness takes over (& yes, I’m med compliant & have been for more than 25 years), all bets are off.
I did not ask to have a mental illness & it’s definitely not fun. I do really good for several years then it all goes to shit in a matter of months.
Anyway, I filed first one pro se, 2nd I converted a Ch 13 to Ch 7 after losing my job & I’m now at absolute bottom & not sure how to even afford an attorney & terrified to do pro se again (much wiser now). I’ve heard there are programs that help people that are indigent—where do I find one in Northern District of Georgia (Atlanta specifically)? Any help would be most appreciated! I haven’t made a car payment in about 4 months (hiding the car currently) & my phone is about to be cut off. I have less than $100 in the bank & no cash.
