I need help.
I am in loads of debt in and out of collections.
Most of the debt in collections is about 3-5 years old.
I’m being sued, but I am almost positive the statute of limitations has passed. I have court in February.
I have about 25 grand in debt.
I used to be a drug addict, I’ve been sober for 4 years and I’ve worked my ass off to get to where I’m at. I have my son back, a job I’ve been at for 3 years, renting a place (with a roommate), and I financed a car that I only owe 7k on now.
I am wanting to move forward financially but I don’t make enough money to save, much less pay off debt.
I am considering filing for bankruptcy. I just don’t know what to do.
I am also considering starting my own cleaning business (I used to do it under the table and made good money)
I meet with someone next week to talk about it.
I’m so overwhelmed.
Can someone give me some advice?
