Does anyone have any success with buying after bankruptcy? 2 years post discharge will be coming up December of 2026. I know I have some time left but my lease at my current place ends next month and I am hesitant on signing a new lease and just doing month-to-month lease. Renting in my area is becoming more expensive and paying 2 grand or more monthly with no children seems outrageous, when I can use that towards a mortgage.
Has anyone looked before or right at the 24-month period? Were you successful in closing? Any tips on grants, and first-time homeowner programs.
Anything helps, thanks in advance.
