Wow I was so nervous to file for no reason 😭 (social anxiety lol)
I had the nicest clerk and the whole process was super smooth. I sat down with her for about an hour while she went through my petition… and she was training someone too so I had TWO people all up in my business like 👀😂 But honestly it was fine lol, they were both super nice.
I got my case number, trustee, and 341 meeting before I left (was not expecting that at all but glad I walked out with everything).
The only thing that kinda sucked was waiting a few hours for the judge to approve my installment plan, but that was it.
Overall, really good experience. I went around 11am and it was not busy at all – literally just me and one other person there on a Monday morning.
Now just waiting for my 341 on May 26th and I’ll be on my way to discharge!
This was at the Central District Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles in case anyone is curious!
Also shoutout to Upsolve and Chatgpt for helping me get everything together – I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do this on my own 🙌🏽
