I filed pro se in NY on December 22 of last year, discharged Monday!
This was mine and I previously also filled for significant other in July which was not so smooth 😉 and I asked and received help from reddit which has been a HUGE help in both processes! Thank you so much.
I learned a lot doing two different ones and I used upsolve, so please feel free to ask any questions about the process if you are thinking about doing it this way as well!
My credit is about 590 fico so I have a lot of patience and building to do but it beats getting sued.
We both wiped out over 200k with having to close our business due to COVID issues.
This has been a very different lifestyle experience going from having cards with 40k limits to retirement check and door dash right now and living within our means! It’s a humbling experience but freeing… And we plan to do another business and buy another house one day.
