Finally filed bankruptcy after months of waiting and have my 341 meeting in mid June, I’m a paranoid person sometimes but my lawyer has said he has seen less than 10 major banks or debt collectors show up to one.
I was a gambler and was worried about how it effects income but my lawyer said as long as you aren’t doing it anymore you’re good.
Filing bankruptcy has taught me that my job kinda sucks and I need to find a better career than restaurants so if anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears.
I paid $2k for everything and think that’s a incredible deal, how many times in life can you get a quicker and higher ROI.
If I did the “right thing” and worked even more hours than I already do I would be near 30 broke, debt free with a worse credit score than I would have filing because after you get stuff in collections and have missed payments it seems like it’s bankruptcy or wait 7 years to have a decent score
The weird thing is I haven’t even had my 341 meeting and I’m already get credit offer for cars and credit cards, you would think they would wait until discharge.
