I’m in a Chapter 13 and our final payment was made in March. Our attorney confirmed that our payments were complete and they filed discharge paperwork with our trustee. We were just told that we needed to wait for the court to finish up on their end.
On June 1st, my attorney reached out saying that the trustee filed a motion to dismiss our case for being delinquent. My attorney said this was an error and she got the trustee to cancel the dismissal.
On June 4th, my trustee filed another motion for dismissal for the same reason. I need to wait until Monday to reach out to my attorney. Are mistakes like this normal? I just want to be done so we can move on with our lives.
