I have to talk to my attorney on Monday so he gets permission from the trustee for a secured credit card.

I need a secured cc for my work related travel/expenses. Last resort is to ask for a corporate card. I applied for a secured Chime & a secured Truist (my checking & I didn’t have a cc w/them) & they both declined me.

Any suggestions on why I would’ve gotten declined off the gate? Should I reach out to their customer service or visit my Truist branch?

It’s stressful every time I have a work activity & have to put it in my cc. You know how banks can be, out of the blue it might get declined & that would be embarrassing. I usually carry $400 cash “just in case” it gets declined. I was hoping to be able to throw $1K into a secured card.

Thoughts?
