I’m super thankful for my attorney who had walked me through the entire process and answered all of my questions and concerns; but the main thing he was right about:
Life will continue to be normal even afterwards.
I checked my credit karma portal today and was shocked to mind my credit bounce up 95 points. Other than that, I’m able to do things normally with no issue.
I took his advice in doing baby steps with credit building and was even able to get a secured credit line through Navy Federal (they’re generous with people who are rebuilding themselves after a bankruptcy), and I can fully project me being fully back in two-four years by sticking to my financial regimen.
A bankruptcy really isn’t the end of the world and isn’t as detrimental as people made it seem growing up. Though it’s not ideal to be, it is not the end of the world.
