I never thought I’d get into 70k in debt but I did. I was paying so much to Sofi/ credit cards that I had nothing left after receiving a paycheck. I tried getting a company to help which ment not paying my bills, letting time pass and they would then negotiate with those companies what I’d be willing to pay but after two weeks I pulled out. I can’t not pay my bills, credit at 800…. It was scary and foolish. I then saw bankruptcy and figured this may be the way out, always thinking it was a bad thing but then realizing billionaires do it? It is a safety net hard to cast but always an option, which I took.
Months later, my credit scores at 700. New credit cards (unused) and plain and simple just a fresh start. It cost 1700 all said and done and now I can live. We all make bad financial choices but there is a way out. Good luck to those that read this, it’s not over!
