I was about to file chapter 7 but was $600 over the limit last month and working towards qualifying. I had a 2nd job in quit in October to try to get there.
This week, I was offered a really nice promotion and bonus at work. Now I have 2 new issues, it will blow my income out of Ch 7 *AND* I have to get licensed for the new role. A bankruptcy could cause issues with licensing since it in the financial sector.
I’m looking to see what I can do besides bankruptcy for debt relief. Has anyone has tried this route with success in the past? I’m hoping that reducing the debt through negotiations alongside my new salary and going back to my 2nd job will keep me from other issues since I probably can’t file. Help!
