I filed a Chapter 7 no asset bankruptcy. I had my 341 meeting and it went by extremely quick and the trustee stated it was concluded. My attorney afterwards stated they don’t anticipate any further action from the trustee and they should file a report they are not taking any further action and I should get my bankruptcy discharged in two months.
I found out there might be a delay next month in some medical treatment I have been receiving and it will possibly, temporarily open up some extra funds before I am possibly discharged. I work a hybrid job 2 days at home and 3 in the office and was considering purchasing the below items if I can budget it. My current work from home station is very poor/non-existent and commuting to work has been difficult.
Would these be acceptable purchases between the 341 meeting and my discharge or will this possibly jeopardize it? Sorry if it’s a stupid question. I’ve had a very traumatic year, nearly passed and just trying to figure out when I can live a normal life again. I’m not sure what I can and cannot spend while this process is going on.
- A bike: I surrendered my car to one of my lenders and have no vehicle. This would help with my commute to work until I can afford a car or get approved for a loan.
